Starting The New Year! Write, Right?!

So, I’m really pleased with my writing regimen so far. I’ve been consistently pumping out words since November, but my plan for 2016 was to write a minimum of 1,000 words a day. It’s been Friday to Friday, and I’m really pleased to give you guys a report on how I’m doing.

So, for anyone who is confused – this is my little spreadsheet that Gau made for me! Basically, I can input my words and keep track of how I’m doing/how much I have left to do. I’ve been working on this in tandem with a desk calendar (which I do not currently have a photo of).

On the desk calendar, I’m writing down what projects I work on that day, and how much I’ve written on them! I’ll have a picture of it next week so that you can all see… but all and all, I’ve surpassed 1k every day, and usually soar easily over 2k. I still have some writing to do today… but it’s been such a pleasing, liberating experience. I can tell the difference in my stress levels just from writing. I’m still doing some fanfiction, but I’m also starting to process through finishing Limbo (my NaNo novel from 2014), while editing my Novel from 2016. I am hoping to incorporate fixed editing dates into my calendar as well… but I’m taking it one step at a time!

I should be able to start blogging more frequently soon. I’ve just been lost in writing (and being ill x.x) this week, so I haven’t been on much! But I’m glad to be doing my update! My best advice to you all is this – keep track of what you’re doing. Keep track of how much you write. Keep track of what you’re working on! It really does help. Having that physically written down so that you can see your accomplishments is a wonderful thing!

Thank you all so much, and I’ll see you next post! Until then, keep reading and writing!

My Daily Writing – October 23

So, today I set a shorter goal for myself. I knew I’d be busy, so my main desire was to get up a tip blog, and my writing prompt. I’m pleased to say that I filled all of my expectations today. If I end up writing something else before the night is through, I’ll just come back and adjust my total words written today, because I don’t want to post an entirely new blog just for a few hundred more words. Still, I’m proud of myself, and happy to be staying on track!

My Total Words Written Today: Around 1,000, give or take some that I deleted.

My personal Word Goal: To Finish My Prompt – got it!

Daily Writing Prompt Completed: Yes!

That’s all for today guys. These posts aren’t going to be long unless I did something super awesome. I certainly hope during November I will be meeting my goal every day! We will see!

Until next time, keep reading and writing!

My Daily Writing – October 22

Welcome to the new little segment of my blog that I call ‘My Writing Accountability’. In lieu of NaNoWriMo, which is fast approaching, I thought that I would start doing this. I think that one of the most important things about writing is to make sure that you’re accountable for when you do write and when you don’t. So! Before I go to bed every night (whether it’s before midnight or 6am) I’m going to post a blog to hold myself accountable for how much I’ve written and what I’ve worked on. At the end of the month, I will do a total words written thing so I can see how I’m doing. I might expand on this as I get into the swing of it, who knows! I think this is going to be good for me. I’d love to know if you all are doing it as well! I’ll check in on you!

So, without further delays!

So, today I worked on writing prompts.

My Total Words Written Today: 2,010

My personal Word Goal: 2,000

Daily Writing Prompt Completed: Yes!

I achieved my goal and did 3 new installments on The Graveyard, which is turning into a promising little short story!

My post is just going to be a little short post like this, so that you guys can see if I’m making progress! I can’t wait to hear how you guys did!

Until next time, keep reading and writing!
